Everest Panorama Trek is a moderate and pleasant scenic adventure with great traditional harmony of local Sherpa’s immense and impressive cultures.
A walk that involves mountains and Monasteries throughout the journey, from the start to the end of this glorious adventure.  
Everest Panorama Trek is for all types of people from families with young children to elderly age groups. Including school, college students, and corporate executives where one can enjoy a refreshing holiday in the shade of Mt. Everest. 
Although a high country walks, chances of catching altitude sickness are slim, as the itinerary we have set is flexible. Offering ample time for acclimatization, as well to enjoy the surrounding stunning scenery within the close backdrop of high Mt. Everest.
Everest Panorama is a week-long moderate walk of steep ups and downs but in the end, everyone will feel glad. After a great wonderful time exploring the local immense cultures of the native Sherpa age-old heritage. This trek is also a nice way of introducing to experience Nepal Himalayas, from traditional customs to varied beautiful landscapes. 
The trek starts after a panoramic short flight from Kathmandu to land at Lukla Tenzing & Hillary Airport. A tribute to late legendary mountaineers the first to conquer the summit of Mt. Everest from Nepalese South Face.
The journey follows through several interesting villages adorned with Buddhism monuments to reach Sagarmatha National Park. Listed in World Heritage Sites as one of the highest parks with famous tallest peaks, enriched with flora and fauna. A lovely pleasant gradual walk ends with a climb uphill to Namche Bazaar, the capital of Khumbu Sherpa. As well an exciting town to explore local cultures and its markets which are held every week on Saturday. 
At Namche Bazaar with a rest day to enjoy an acclimatization short hike to view-points, the walk continues to the final destination. Reaching magnificent areas at Tengboche and the majestic impressive monastery, encircled by arrays of snow-capped peaks. An exciting place Tengboche for an excellent panorama of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and beautiful looking peaks of Ama Dablam. 
At Tengboche visit the monastery interior and observe the young monks and high priests in prayer and religious activities. A beautiful colorful monastery where once a year a great festival ‘Mani Rimdu’ takes place. 
As per the Buddhist Lunar calendar choose an auspicious day in October or the first week of November.
After a delightful and interesting time in Tengboche, the return journey takes you to the lovely villages of Khumjung and Khunde. Located on a wide glacial valley, a great place to experience Sherpa cultures and the daily traditional activities of Khumbu villagers. Slowly our moderate scenic and cultural adventure comes to an end heading back to Lukla for the last overnight around Everest. The next morning, a short scenic flight brings you to Kathmandu, after a marvelous time and adventure on Everest Panorama Trek.
Important notes:
Please be informed the flight to Lukla or back to Kathmandu, might get diverted to Manthali Airport in the Ramechap district. Which is about a 4-5 hours’ drive on approx. 156 km. driving distance, in case of flight diversion from Ramechap.
We might have to transfer the clients on Day 02, after the sightseeing tour in the afternoon time. For an exciting and scenic drive to Manthali town airport and stay in the best available hotels. The next morning to catch a flight to Lukla takes about 20 or 25 minutes to Lukla and vice-versa. The diversion is due to heavy air traffic at Kathmandu airport that coincides with other domestic and international flights. 
If the flight to Lukla is diverted from Ramechap rather than Kathmandu, as per the notice of Nepal Civil Aviation. Everest Adventure Tour will inform all our clients well in advance regarding the changes. 
Sometimes, due to bad unfavorable weather conditions either from Kathmandu, Ramechap, or Lukla. The flight can get delayed or lead to cancellation, in this situation please bear with us and understand. 
For the sudden inconvenience, in this situation, our guide and the head office will try our best for a good solution.
Whether to charter a Helicopter or wait for a few days till the weather clears for a normal flight from both ends.
Trekkers who wish to fly from Gorakshep to Lukla or back to Kathmandu on a helicopter can inform us. That is after visiting the Everest base camp and climb of Kalapathar, this will make the trek shorter by 3-4 days. In the comfort of a chopper flight back to Kathmandu.

The Best Seasons for Everest Panorama Trekking:
Interested people can trek to Everest Panorama, in all seasons, except for the wet months of monsoon. Which is mid-June to August during summer/monsoon seasons, where flights to Lukla seldom fly. Due to heavy monsoon dark rain clouds where visibility is poor for aircraft to fly and land.

The best favored seasons are spring and autumn/fall. The spring starts from March to May, when days are longer with enough sunlight hours.
 Normally the morning till mid-afternoon days are clear for views and scenic walks can get overcast late afternoon sometime. Can expect snowfalls, with cold morning and nighttime, and the mid-hills covered in the forest will be bright with wildflowers; in seasonal bloom. Especially the rhododendron of various colors from tall trees to bush, which is the national flower of Nepal.

The next high season is autumn/fall, from September to November, most days are fine and crystal clear. One can enjoy pleasant walks along with glorious views of surrounding snow-capped peaks. Days are much shorter due to limited sunlight hours, cold afternoons, and nights till morning time. Can get snowfall sometimes, but with a bright starry night sky.

Trekkers can also enjoy, during the winter times of December to February.

Culture and Religion on Everest Panorama Trek:
The native of the Solu-Khumbu district of North Mid-East Nepal is populated by the Sherpa of Tibetan origin. As the name ‘Sher’ means East and ‘Pa’ for people the tribes of Eastern Tibet. Migrated to the southern region of Everest with a history of more than the 17th century interwoven with the teaching of Buddha. Which is known as the Mahayana religion of Nyingma or Tibetan Buddhism sects. 

The Sherpa enjoys various religious events and festivals, the main events are Saga Dawa, the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha. As well the Tibetan New Year called Lo-Shar falls in February as per Tibetan Buddhism Calendar. The next major festival held around the Khumbu region of Everest is Mani Rimdu, which takes place in Tengboche Monastery. In mid-October or the first week of November as per the auspicious day chosen by the high priest from the Tibetan Lunar calendar.

Basically, the Sherpa are farmers raising and breeding live stocks, but since the arrival of foreign visitors. The local economy is dependent upon tourism, as one can experience this Everest Panorama trek to Tengboche from Lukla.

The Sherpa men folk are famous as natural mountaineers and high-altitude guides around the Himalayas. Where every Sherpa respects the mountains as the abode of God, Goddess, and holy spirits. On treks, can witness every house adorned with prayer flags, and every village is lined with prayer monuments.    

Trip Itinerary

On arrival at Kathmandu and Nepal International Airport, after clearing the visa formalities, and claiming the baggage. Head towards departure exit, where our staff receives you for a short transfer to the hotel. After getting refreshed join on the lobby with other members for Everest Panorama trek briefing, provided by our guide, leader. On briefing full information of the treks, and hotels in Kathmandu as well of local cultures with do’s and don’ts. Evening a lovely dinner introduction to Nepali foods with exciting cultural programs. 

Morning after breakfast, our city / cultural guide takes you on a tour visiting world heritage sites around Kathmandu city. Includes Old Durbar Square / Palace Courtyard, residence of Living Goddess the Kumari; and to Swayambhunath Stupa with more 2,600 years of history. Then head towards holy Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath a huge Buddhist Stupa. After an exciting and interesting tour back to hotel, preparation and packing for trekking.

Non-essential clothing and items not required for treks, can be stored in the Hotel or with Everest Adventure Tour.  

Starting early morning for super scenic flight to Lukla, a short drive to Kathmandu domestic airport. After going through security then board in a small spacious aircraft for sweeping short flight of 30 minutes or more. During air enjoy spectacular panorama of Himalayan range of peaks with views of Mt. Everest.

As plane makes landing on a short runways of Lukla’s Tenzing & Hillary Airport, after claiming the baggage. Having time for some refreshment, and start the trek following through Lukla town and then down to Dudh Koshi River.

Walking past lovely Sherpa villages, where path are lined with Buddhist monuments known as prayer walls. Facing grand views of Kongde and Kusum Kanguru peaks, the reaching Phakding for overnight halt. Located by the raging glacial Dudh Koshi River, check into a nice lodge with time to explore around.



Today’s walks takes you to famous Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa Capital of Khumbu region of Everest. Morning walk follows a nice pleasant trail with ups and down to cross a long suspension bridge. Then head for a short steep up to Monjo village with views of Tharmasarku peaks. A short walk from Monjo to enter Sagarmatha National Park, the cross a bridge above the same river to Jorsalle. 
The last settlement before Namche Bazaar, stopping here for possible lunch break, afternoon walk on the river bed. Walking within lovely cool forest of pines, fir and rhododendron trees, as route leads to cross a high bridge. From the bridge on undulating winding ups to Namche Bazaar for two overnight halt.

Namche Bazaar a fascinating small town with fancy restaurants, luxury hotels and resorts, as well many shops and stores. Facilities of banks and ATM for trekkers, an exciting place to be with close views of Kongde peaks.


A leisure and free day, for short hike higher up to support acclimatization before heading higher ground.

Places of interest in Namche Bazaar for short hikes:
The best and short hike above Namche Bazaar climb up to Park Museum, which is at approx. 3,550 m. An interesting place situated on a high ridge facing grand vista of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse with majestic Ama Dablam. Includes views of Kantega, Tharmasarku and Kwangde range of peaks with Khumbila, the patron god of Khumbu Sherpa. Enjoy tour of the museum nearby provides full information of Khumbu area, cultures and flora/ fauna.

The next good hike for few hours climb to Syangboche ridge with a small old airstrip. From here continue walk up to Everest View Hotel, located on a high green hill covered in beautiful forest. One of the world’s first luxury deluxe hotels and of Khumbu area, built in 1971. Has been listed on the Guinness Book of World Record in 2004 as the highest placed hotels. At the height of 3,962 m / 13,000 feet, enjoy the serene surrounding with views of Mt. Everest.

After a refreshing rest in Namche Bazaar, morning a pleasant walk on the scenic trail to Tengboche Monastery. The walk leads on wide scenic path with ever present views of snow-capped peaks. Then downhill to Imjatse River for lunch stop at small place of Phunki Tenga, amidst beautiful woodland. Afternoon few hour climb up to picturesque Tengboche and the monastery, one of the most photogenic spot. Encircled by array of peaks with grand views of Mt. Everest and Ama Dablam, surrounded by green tree lines. At Tengboche tour of monastery interior of great religious and cultural interest. Tengboche having several good lodges for overnight stops, some trekkers spends night at Deboche, a small place half down from Tengboche. 

Enjoy the glorious morning panorama of Everest and surrounding towering giant snow peaks. Having breakfast head downhill to Imjatse River amidst lovely forest, as climb leads up past Shanasha village. Reaching at the mid-way where route to Gokyo, Namche Bazaar and Khumjung branch off. Our walk heads with short climb on a quiet trail through rhododendron and birch tree lines, to Khumjung village. Located on a wide scenic glacial valley beneath holy Mt. Khumbila, the patron god of Khumbu Sherpa’s. A moderate size village with one of the oldest monastery, after checking into a nice lodge. Afternoon tour of Khumjung 500 year’s old monastery, where visitors can witness a scalp believed to be of a Yeti.

The scalp treasured in a small glass box, can take photograph after a donation to the monastery. Rest of the day at leisure and enjoy the spectacular views of snow-capped peaks.

Morning another magnificent views of Ama Dablam, Kantega, Tharmasarku and Kwangde peaks, several routes for return journey. But most enjoyable walks is climb up for less than an hour to a high ridge amidst dense trees. 
Where famous Everest View Hotel is located, one of the world’s highest Luxury Hotels established way back in 1970’s. Enjoy a refreshing morning break with grand views of Mt. Everest, and then down to Syangboche. A place with an old short airstrip, then descend with birds-eye views of Namche Bazaar.

Reaching Namche Bazaar for lunch stop, afternoon walk downhill to Dudh Koshi River, walk on river bed to Jorsalle village. From the last village cross over a bridge, and then short steep up, to national park exit post. A short walk from the park to lovely Monjo village for overnight, in the comfort of a nice lovely lodge.

Enjoy the last day walk of the journey to Lukla, following pleasant trail from one nice village to another. Crossing bridges few times towards Phakding, and then reaching Ghat village. After few hours of good walk, an uphill for an hour more to the entrance gate of Lukla. On reaching Lukla town transfer to a nice hotel or lodge for last overnight around Khumbu and Everest region.

Early breakfast and then short walk to Tenzing & Hillary airport, as the plane arrives. Get on board for a scenic flight of half hour to land at Kathmandu airport, and then transfer to your hotels. Rest of the day at leisure for individual activities after a great wonderful adventure on Everest Panorama trek.

We have reserved a day free as contingency in case of flight day on both ends to and from Kathmandu and Lukla. As Himalayan weather even in the best seasons of the year, can be unpredictable with bad unfavorable weather. Where flights cannot operates, if all goes well according to our itinerary days. Enjoy the free day for shopping or join in for tour to Patan or Bhaktapur cities, worth a visit.

Final day in Kathmandu and Nepal, as time for your international flight for homeward bound or next port of call. Transfer to Kathmandu, Nepal international airport bidding farewell to your guide and staff, after a marvelous and enjoyable adventure on Everest Panorama trek.

It all depends upon the trip cost as per the itinerary set by Everest Adventure Tour. Normally we accommodate trekkers on normal standard lodge having nice rooms with good foods. But if the clients request us to upgrade the standard of lodge accommodation, we will certainly comply with the request and need of our valuable clients. Where the cost will be slightly higher on Luxury type lodges than on budget or standard lodge accommodation.


Trekkers will be surprised to find good food menu of varieties, from Tibetan, Nepali, Indian and Chinese to Continental. Includes long list of snacks and drinks for the customer delights in most lodges on treks. The lodge accommodation are nice and lovely according to the choices of the trekkers. From budget, standard to luxury accommodation, either attached or non-attached bath and toilets.

All lodges are clean with good rooms, having large dining with potbellied stoves to make the environment warm and cozy.

Everest Panorama, although a high altitude treks it does involves high passes like in other trekking adventures. Where all age group and family with young children and elderly people of 70 years can enjoy this wonderful treks. But all should be in good physical shape and in sound medical health. 

Some can take the challenge having minor medical problem, should take advice from your doctors and inform the company on booking.

The main festivals of the Khumbu Sherpa is Gyalbo Losar, which is New Year falls within the month of mid-February or early March. According to Tibetan Buddhist Calendar, the next big event is Saga Dawa falls at the end April or May. Saga Dawa is the birth Anniversary of Lord Buddha the ‘Light of Asia’. As well Mani Rimdu a colorful religious festivals held in mid-October or first week of November at Tengboche Monastery. Mani Rimdu also takes place in Thame village west of Namche Bazaar at the end of May or first week of June also.
