Everest is known by various names, in the early years it was known as Peak IV, and then became Everest. The local name in Nepal is Sagarmatha, summarily it is known as Chomolungma by the Sherpa of Tibetan origin language.
Mt. Everest straddles the border between Nepal and Tibet / China, where the southern side is more popular. Among the trekkers and mountaineers, where thousands of visitors visit every season of the year. Due to the mass flow of trekkers, the region is well organized providing facilities for travelers to Gorakshep. Situated a few hours before Everest Base Camp and close to the famous viewpoint of Kalapathar rocky hilltop.
The Everest Base Camp trek begins after landing at Lukla Tenzing & Hillary Airport, walk leads through several nice villages. As the trek progresses enter Sagarmatha National Park, listed in World Heritage Sites enriched with exotic flora and fauna.
The trail follows up to the famed Namche Bazaar the major hub of Khumbu Sherpa, where a colorful market is held. Once a week on Saturday, an exciting and interesting place to experience as well to spend an extra day for acclimatization.
From Namche Bazaar, the adventure leads to higher terrain through beautiful woods of rhododendron and pine trees to Tengboche.
Tengboche with a famous and impressive Monastery located faces a spectacular panorama of Everest and the beautiful peak of Ama Dablam. The adventure follows onwards leaving the green forest surrounding for complete mountain wilderness heading past Pangboche, the last permanent village. After Pangboche, with temporary settlements having lovely lodges to cater to the trekkers on route Everest Base Camp.
Walk leads to Dingboche and Lobuche to reach Gorakshep, the last settlement before our main highlight to Everest Base Camp. The adventure continues reaching moraine and remorseless fields of glaciers on the foot of towering
Mt. Everest at base camp. Enjoy the dramatic scenery similar to arctic zone landscapes close to massif Khumbu Ice-Fall and towering giant peaks.
The views of Mt. Everest are obstructed by Lhotse and Nuptse peaks, for better views of Everest. The walk leads to a strenuous climb up to Kalapathar the highest point of the adventure, rewarding tremendous mountain panorama.

We might have to transfer the clients on Day 02, after the sightseeing tour in the afternoon time. For an exciting and scenic drive to Manthali town airport and stay in the best available hotels. The next morning to catch a flight to Lukla takes about 20 or 25 minutes to Lukla and vice-versa. The diversion is due to heavy air traffic at Kathmandu airport that coincides with other domestic and international flights.
If the flight to Lukla is diverted from Ramechap rather than Kathmandu, as per the notice of Nepal Civil Aviation. Everest Adventure Tour will inform all our clients well in advance regarding the changes.
Sometimes, due to bad unfavorable weather conditions either from Kathmandu, Ramechap, or Lukla. The flight can get delayed or lead to cancellation, in this situation please bear with us and understand.
For the sudden inconvenience, in this situation, our guide and the head office will try our best for a good solution.
