Langtang Valley & Gosainkunda, located in the district of Rasuwa, is the nearest mountain range to the capital city of Kathmandu. Which is about 37 km / 23 miles air distance from Kathmandu to Langtang Himal and its beautiful valley.
Traveling by overland to the nearest Syabrubesi village along the roadside is approx. 202 km and 126 miles. A great difference between on-road and by air, this allows visitors to enjoy the journey; to Langtang Valley and Gosainkunda in a short time frame.
Langtang Valley & Gosainkunda Heli Tour is a short and scenic flight of an hour or more. Landing at beautiful Langtang Valley, where the lovely Kyanjin Gompa settlement is located, surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks.

After enjoyable moments at Kyanjin Gompa within scenic Langtang Valley, the next journey takes you to high areas of Gosainkunda. Revered as the holiest of all holy pilgrimage sites for Hindu followers, where the annual religious fair takes place.
Which falls during August during the wet season of monsoon times. Thousands of devotees and pilgrims pay homage to this holy site on the day of the Janai Purnima festival. An auspicious time for Hindu men to change their holy threads into a new ones. As well as having a bath and dip in the holy waters of Gosainkunda icy pond with worship and prayers.
Gosainkunda is the highest spot of the Heli Tour at 4,380 m / 14, 370 feet high, situated on the basin. Enclosed and hidden by towering high rocky cliffs and snow peaks, a place with shelters for pilgrims and few lodges.
At the holy site of Gosainkunda with time to explore the glacial pond and enjoy views of dramatic landscape surroundings. On completing the tour of Langtang Valley & Gosainkunda, the return journey heads back on a same scenic route to Kathmandu.

Detailed Itinerary for Langtang Valley & Gosainkunda Heli Tour:
Starting as early as possible by 6:30 to 7 p.m. from Kathmandu domestic airport for Langtang Valley & Gosainkunda Heli Tour. Walk towards the airline counter, where our staff will hand you the boarding pass for an exciting short flight.
As you board a small spacious Helicopter, greeted by airline staff and the pilot of the Heli flight. Once seated the captain starts the engine lifting it higher up into the blue clear Himalayan sky. Enjoy the panoramic views of Kathmandu city and the valley with simmering lakes, as the chopper heads higher.
Facing spectacular scenery of the snow mountain range of Manaslu, Ganesh, and Langtang Himal with snow peaks of Jugal Himal.
The flight heads above the green hills over the villages of Nuwakott, Trisuli Bazaar, and past Dhunche. The headquarters town of Rasuwa district and Langtang Himal range, as well route to various adventure destinations. Where Langtang National Park starts from Dhunche town, the first mountainous park in Nepal.
