Overview

One of the most amazing Himalayan country as well around the world is Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The areas of Annapurna Base Camp are called the Sanctuary of Gods and holy spirits. When early pioneers and explorers ventured into this beautiful region, they were overwhelmed by the charm and beauty of Annapurna Sanctuary. Nowhere in the Himalayas can one reach the base of the world’s highest mountains in a short duration of time.
Annapurna Base Camp is the only place where trekkers can complete the whole journey taking only a week.
This makes Annapurna Base Camp Trek one of the most exclusive and most exciting adventures in the whole Himalayan range. Annapurna Base Camp and the Sanctuary is at present one of the most sought adventure destinations.
Due to its short distance and accessibility from the beautiful Pokhara city which is directly north. About 40 km or 24 ½ miles, all trekkers with normal physical fitness can enjoy a trek to Annapurna Base Camp.
The area where the base camp stands is an oval-shaped plateau at 4,130 m high, enclosed by amphitheaters of snow peaks.
Most trekkers and adventurers are unaware that Mt. Annapurna-1 at 8,091 m / 26, 545 feet high. Is the world’s tenth-highest peak, as well as the first above 8,000-meter Mountain conquered in the history of mountaineering?

The first conquest by a French Expedition way back in 1950 three years before
Mt. Everest was summited. This makes Annapurna Himalayas one of the most exclusive and special of all adventures around the Himalayas.

Besides its stunning range of giant peaks, the dramatic change in climate, vegetation, and landscapes is fascinating to experience.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins and ends at the scenic city of Pokhara, located on a verdant valley. The city is blessed with the natural beauty of snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna Himalayas and charming lakes. This makes Pokhara one of the dream tourist destinations around the Himalayas, and probably in the world.
The trek starts with a short drive from Pokhara, then leaves the low warm paddy fields towards cooler alpine hills. Walk leads through lovely Gurung villages at Ghandruk, and to Chomrong the last permanent village en route to Annapurna Base Camp.
Where trail leads to higher areas to enter the Modi River gorge covered in a dense forest of bamboo, rhododendron, and pines.
The route follows through temporary settlements of Bamboo, Dovan, and Deurali reaching a high ridge at Machhapuchare Base Camp. From here enter the Annapurna Sanctuary enclosed by an array of snow peaks, then reach Annapurna Base Camp. Located at the foot of Mt. Annapurna-I, Vara Shikar / Annapurna Fang, Gangapurna Himal, and Annapurna South peaks. An ever-exciting place to be for once in a lifetime, overlooking a wide range of snow-capped peaks.
After a wonderful experience with stunning panoramic views in the comfort of a nice cozy mountain lodge. Return journey on the same route down and ups to reach Chomrong village, and then the trail diverts to Jhinu.
A nice hill village with a natural hot-spring to enjoy after a great walk to Annapurna Base Camp. From Jhinu, after a refreshing overnight a short interesting drive to Pokhara. A perfect place to conclude, after a glorious and marvelous adventure on Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
